We are on fire! Last week, double page in a local newspaper. If you wan to read the interview here Entrevista Diario Palentino
Laughs, sun, infinite colors, salt, warmth, going swimming first thing in the morning, going dancing, going sailing, hot sand, meeting with old friend, meeting new friends, sleeping until you cannot sleep anymore, sea, rain, swimming with turtles, parties in the water, parties out of the water, living on a boat, tan skin since I cannot remember when, simplifying life, living with two t-shirts and two bikinis, looking at the stars, clouds, not remembering last time I used shoes, making plans, get emotional, laugh, laughing all the time, feeling, hugs, getting some perspective of things, get excited, feeling light, feeling fortunate... stay tuned, I will keep the updates =)
Vetusta Morla says it loud and clear:
“being brave it is not just a matter of luck”
and here we go, vertigo in my stomach, feeling things accelerating around me, making decisions and getting ready for what is coming. Lots of things and very good things. I will start saying that during the next two weeks I will be packing my house and going on holiday for a long time, including a visit home, whooohooo!!!
With a bit of luck I can update this place more often. Stay tuned, I promise good photos and a few stories.

Ok, after popular demanding and a (too long) period of silence, I will start telling you my next adventures (I know, I know, I still have to tell you the past ones...) I'm going to sea, at the end of March, oh yes, going back to the South. We are back to the SOuthern Ocean, to the big waves, to the never ending skies, to the million different blues, to the Roaring Forties , to the "big guys" Ocean . But this time there is a "little" difference fromt he other two time I went to sea. This time I am the voyage leader, this time the questions will come to me. This time will be me who will go to the bridge to talk to the Captain when the waves become indomitable. It will be me who goes to the bridge and compulsively look to the barometer to see what Tangaroa is providing. But don't be scared, there is a fantastic team coming with me, and together will make a very successful voyage. I will tell you more about it, any question you might what to know?
---
Last weekend we went to Tauranga for a swim. 2.6k between islands. Fantastic swim!! A great experience in my first swimming race =D As usual, I freaked out a bit when I could not see the bottom and a bit more when I could see the seaweed too close... More swimming adventures coming, stay tuned...
To the right, To the left We will fight to the death! To the edge of the earth It's a brave new world It's a brave new world!
---
I haven't listened to this song in ages, now I cannot stop. It takes me back to those days in Barcelona with my sister, waiting for the answer to my application to a scholarship to do a PhD in New Zealand. It takes me back to that moment when I got the email in the middle of the night, 12h ahead in the other side of the world: "Dear Aitana, It's our pleasure to inform you..." A knot in my stomach, goosebumps everywhere, a mix of anxiety and euphoria, the fear and happiness, and the perfect soundtrack:
To the right, To the left We will fight to the death! To the edge of the earth It's a brave new world It's a brave new world!

The sentence "If you don't want it to be known don't do it" always makes me feel strange, maybe that's the reason. #PrivacyMatters Worth listening.
---
The visit to the Pura_Besakih temple was disappointing. If you want my advice, don't go. And if you do go, get the wallet ready and/or all your NOs ready. They will try to sell you everything, and you actually don't need anything. You only need a sarong (a piece of fabric around your wrist), you can bring yours, and the ticket fee that you buy on the last crossroad before the temple.
---
The temple is interesting, but you can have a look without paying the whole budget for your holidays. The worst thing is when they find out you are European and they want you to "tip" in euros... from that day, every time someone asked me where are you from, I said, from New Zealand.
---
An interesting feature is that the buildings always have an odd number of roofs, the more roofs the more important, and eleven is the maximum number.
Y yo he sonreído, he subido el volumen y lo he puesto en loop. =) Necesito un poco de road trip... pronto?
---
I've been to the airport for the first time in the last two weeks giving someone from work a lift. It was a gorgeous day as the last weeks in this endless summer we are having. Suddenly this playing from my old iPod with tons of songs I never listen to anymore. I've smiled, put the volume up, and played it as a loop. =) Needing a road trip, maybe... soon?
---
To read. This is what I want to do. To read. Close myself up at home with a blanket and a good cup of tea. Put my phone on silent, shut the radio off and pick a good novel. And forget about everything. Forget about the world. Dive into the story, imagine the voices of the characters, the color of their eyes, the taste of their stories, the smell of their desires. To read.
----
Not sure I've ever told you jellyfish are my favorite ocean animals. And not sure I've told you last week I got stung everywhere, nothing serious, only this burn feeling all over the place during the whole day. We were talking about jellyfish this morning after the swim, and I couldn't help myself and I did some research...
---
There are days that the best part of the day happens before 0830h in the morning. I would have never thought I was going to enjoy waking up early so much!
Voy tarde. Con todo. Tengo esta pagina un poco abandonada. Pero lo solucionare. Pronto.
---
I'm late. With everything. I haven't been very good at updating the blog lately. I will fix it. Soon..ish. I have a few adventures to tell, in the meantime a bit of music to brighten up this Wednesday that feels like Autumn.
